November Is Here

Good morning, everyone. Except for Squealon Muskrat and some guy we'll call "Bob." Yes, I'm full of piss and vinegar...and caffeine this morning; Halloween did not turn out as well as I had hoped, at least on the day of.

The night before was at least a little bit magical. I, dressed as Jack Skellington went out to see his Sally at her job the night before.

(pic from last year for reference)

Sally for the occasion was dressed as a fallen angel. A nice time was had by all involved, but the point I'm trying to get to is this: a couple of weeks before, I asked her specifically what she was doing for Halloween. At the time she said she was trying to take half a night off so that she could go trick or treating with her daughter. The following week, she told me that she couldn't work Saturday, so I assumed she was going trick or treating and spend the rest of the evening with her daughter. Well, turns out that Sally became Poison Ivy on Halloween night and this "Bob" character accompanied her as the Joker, or TwoFace, so riddle me this, if Sally became Poison Ivy, does that mean that Jack can become Batman?

Suffice to say I'm bent and have been the last couple of days. On a related note, WHAT'S WRONG WITH A TYNER?!

On a lighter note, something happened in football yesterday that hadn't happened your man was in diapers. The Tampa Bay Bucs defeated the Atlanta Falcons in a slosh fest at Raymond James Stadium 16-0 yesterday and did so without completing a pass. That's right, the Bucs had as many passing yards as you or I did; zero. This had occurred only one other time in the Super Bowl era, and that was on September 29, 1974, when the Buffalo Bills defeated the New York Jets 16-12 at old Rich Stadium in Orchard Park, NY. The Bills only attempted two passes that game whereas the Bucs attempted just three and it was a wet miserable day in Buffalo that day not dissimilar to the weather yesterday (and today) in Tampa. Good to see a pro Tampa team finally getting a win after a rough stretch over the course of the past week with the Rays losing the World Series, the Rowdies getting knocked out in the first round of their playoffs, and the Nikita Kucherov news with the Lightning.

Tomorrow is Election Day, thank goodness. After tomorrow, none of us will be subjected to these lame political mudslinging ads which have become about as annoying as Morgan & Morgan commercials and Liberty Biberty. I've already done my part on Friday, including a write-in vote for "Sally" (before I found out what happened on Saturday) for School Board District Four. As for who else I voted for, here's a not too subtle hint:

Tomorrow depending on the results I might hate watch Fox News Channel to see all the Trump fanboys and fangirls cry bitch and moan about how "Islamification of America" is taking over (it certainly is not), and how Trump's (sordid) agenda is practically coming to an end...as Donald Glover once said:

I think, no, I know I'll be on here at least two more times this week. I need to get out of my depressive state (which I was already in before Saturday) and do some more writing. In the meantime, you can find me on various social media channels, just type in "Bonyscribe."

That's all for today, I might just see you tomorrow!
